  2. Nov 08,  · Bought this record a couple of months before seeing the New Order Brotherhood tour here in the states. About 3 songs into the show Barney started forgetting lyrics, then fell backwards onto Stevens drums. He was so drunk that they had to drag him off stage on his heels. They came back 1/2 hour later played 2 sloppy songs and the show was over/5().

The name of New Order's "Brotherhood" perfectly matches the optimistic nature of this album, probably the band's most buoyant release, and quite a departure from their previous album "Low-Life" (a good name for that album as well). Broken Promise - /10 Picks up the pace of Weirdo. Good quality heavyweight g vinyl pressing of a /5(66).

  8. Bizarre Love Triangle" aside, the majority of New Order's record is mostly a return to their stark, guitar pop roots. "Weirdo" is one of New Order's finest pop moments, as is the Electro-inspired "All Day Long." The tell-tale basslines and guitar work are in top form, as are Bernard Sumner's wonderfully broken vocals.
