  3. Elvis' Gold Records Vol. 4 is terrific. It begins with "Return to Sender" (from "Girls, Girls, Girls!!! from ) co-written by Otis Blackwell who wrote "Don't Be Cruel" and "All Shook Up", is one of my favorites. The legendary studio musicians nicknamed "The Wrecking Crew" played on that/5(54).
  4. Twenty-four years after debuting, Volume 4 itself qualified for a Gold Record. There's five 'A' sides plus seven 'B's, six of which charted. ("Please Don't Drag That String Around" didn't make the Hot ) "Ain't That Loving You Baby" is the only mono track/5(9).

  6. Released the day after New Year's , the title of Elvis Presley's 31st RCA VICTOR album, ELVIS' GOLD RECORDS Volume 4 (LPM/LSP) is typical RCA marketing hyperbole. Only two here qualified for that RIAA certification: "Ain't That Loving You Baby" and "Devil In Disguise," with only the latter making Billboard's Top Ten/5(54).
